Jackpot Factory Mass Bannings

- On a few will-not-be-named forums, discussion of Jackpot Factory doing some mass bannings in the last 24 hours has gone around. They mention giving a bonus "in good faith" and that it was taken advantage of. I'm kinda curious.......why do they bother with the terms and conditions if, when followed, you get banned anyways? Why don't they just make the T&C "we'll pay you what we want to pay you"?

- More information on this would be appreciated - if you don't want to make it public, please PM me so I can look into it.

- I have no problem replying here. I took advantage of their signup bonus and followed their rules(which, have you noticed, are more and more changing daily and getting longer and having more games excluded? This goes for everywhere, not just Jackpot Factory). I know a large number of people had their accounts axed. Noone really discussed it here, but it has been elsewhere. My bet is they picked a certain affiliate who, shall we say, encourages using bonuses to their full value. I really am not upset by this as I think my only loss is about 77 cents left in one of the poker accounts, but why do they bother even having all these terms and conditions if when you follow them they cancel your account anyways? I really liked First Web too because I did quite well there and won 10 credits in some drawing I didn't really even know about. I lost them, but I thought it was a cool touch. Then they close all my accounts there because of something about All Jackpots. ------------------------------------------------------ Your Account Status ------------------------------------------------------- Dear XXXXXX, We have investigated your accounts and recent playing habits, and we believe you are taking advantage of bonuses which have been offered to you in good faith. Therefore, we have decided to exclude you from all future promotions and will not credit your account with any additional bonuses under any circumstances. In addition, your casino accounts at all Jackpot Factory Casinos will be locked at the end of the month. We request that you complete any outstanding wagering requirements and withdraw any cash balance you have remaining before August 1st, as your casino account will be locked on this date. Should you have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact us. support@jackpotfactory.com Regards, Casino Management Jackpot Factory Casinos

- Looking into this now. I can understand withholding future promotions and bonuses... but locking the accounts? If people want to play without bonuses, why stop them?

- I had this myself. How insulting to actually lock accounts and imply WRONGDOING on the part of players by saying "in good faith", as if players played in "bad faith". And what if players have outstanding balances and are either away or accidently delete the mail? Money gone, no recourse. I thought this was a decent group. Locking accounts is quite out of order. I intensely dislike being labelled a crook.

- I have a little problem with that too. Keep in mind, however, that it is most certainly the casino's right to close an account and prohibit further play. It's their business and they can refuse clients as long as they pay out any amounts due in full. That being said - I still think it's poor business practice.

- Yes, it's surprising to lock out without a really good reason when acquisition costs are so high. The casino has the right of admission, and even the right to bar future promo offers as long as it has paid out any player who has met the T&C, but to lockout someone on grounds of over-bonusing just doesn't make much business sense.

- This seems like very bizarre behavior to me. I can't imagine a group like this locking all of your accounts because you took advantage of a signup bonus. Something doesn't seem right here. Even if they were having financial problems, why lock them out? Just ban them from bonuses. Too bad, I thought first web and wild jacks were good operations. I guess they'll go in the red flagged folder.

- Definitely not a financial problem. And they are still good operations. They have acknowledged the concerns I have raised with them and indicated that this was a once-off which should not happen again. I did not get into specifics with them other than the issue of closing accounts, but as I said earlier, in the end this is their right - just not one that I think really needs to be exercised except under the most trying of circumstances.

- I agree, its absolutely their right to ban anyone (and everyone) they want to, just very odd imo.
