- Now I need to goto Kinkos and get this .doc pronted from Inetbet. I am so tired though. Work is rough. It is only down the street but they will have to wait until tommarow maybe =) Though I had all the bases coverd have my scans on my hardrive and on a cd. Wish I could just write on my monitor. Maybe I should order a printer? Ordered a scanner last time I needed to send in scans of my utility bill...to lazy to goto Kinkos then too.

- One thing I always wondered about these forms where you sign away your right to dispute credit card charges - do they have any legal force? I presume they don't and it's just a scare tactic, but I'd be interested to know.

- I would be very surprised if they did, especially as you are forced into signing them - but online gambling is an area where you have very little legal protection anyway. I was once sent one of these from a very reputable casino, which stated that I could not dispute any past or FUTURE transactions as fraudulent or unauthorised. They would not pay out my winnings until I signed and returned this form. I finally gave in and signed it, after having removed the section about future transactions ( I don't think they actually noticed). At that stage, I was only ever using Neteller with them anyway, and the card they wanted me to 'authorise' had already expired!

- The forms are not for the casinos!! Remember the processors are a third party of the casino. What the forms are for is that the processing company will turn those forms into the bank of the person making the charge. The form normally will show the history of all the charges. Most of the charge backs are people claiming they did not make the charge or that they did not know it was a casino they were charging at. So when their bank are given signed documents Showing that they have a history of charges to the same place, it is much harder for the bank to uphold the dispute. Every processor is a little different in the forums and documents they require, some demand a signature in ink, others only a fax, and so on. This also depends on what the casino has to pay the processor for the service, regular merchant accounts usually pay around a 5% charge, but with gamming it can be from 8-20% depending on how much risk the casino wants to bear. The IT consultants warn that fraud constitutes a threat to industry growth greater than any “moral, regulatory or tax concerns”. The problem, they say, lies in the reliance on credit cards as a method of payment. Finance UK explain: “When credit cards are used for online gambling, the transactions generated are categorized as card not present (CNP) transactions, a category which has become the fastest growing sector for fraud in the card payments industry.“ Dick Clarke, consultant with Consult Hyperion says: 'The failure to handle online payments securely and efficiently could have a severe impact on the online gambling sector in the future.” A Player can dispute a transaction for a number of reasons including misuse of their card, customer processing errors or if the player is generally dissatisfied with the goods/service or level of customer service supplied. Signing a paper and fax it over to casino wont reduce the risk of a charge back a I see it as a way pressure the player. Must be hard to get a good non coded processor.. next problem is when the uncoded processor gets coded. THEN you have a problem as it is very difficult to return cash to the cards, as it normally won't go through. Casinos then have to find another way to get money back to the players concerned, which can leave them vulnerable.

- That is what is almost required if you want to play casinos which require faxback forms. There are several good Combination Printer/Scanner/Copier machines that you can get under 100$, which do the job well. I just ordered me a new one because i want to get some quality photocopies out of the machine also. I recently bought Canon Pixma MP750 , but there are several other good ones out there. That should be one of the best, if you want to do something else with the machine then just use it for casino forms. -kavaman

- BTW, if you go through an affiliate site and then do a chargeback, the affiliate pays for it, not the casino. It is actual cash out of the pocket of an individual trying to make a living. I think most players think the casino is the one losing out. Not so, Joe Blow down the street is.
